Ennis is centrally located in southwestern Montana at the junction of US Hwy 287 and State Hwy 287.
US Highway 287 runs north and south through Ennis. To the north is I-90 (45 miles) and to the south is Yellowstone National Park (70 miles).

Arrive by Air
Visitors can fly into Bozeman about 1 hour or Butte about 1 1/2 hours from Ennis on Delta, Northwest, Horizon, Skywest, or United. Private aircraft can land at Big Sky Airport near Ennis.

The guide is intended to help visitors gain insights into the cultural, historic and geo-physical features that have shaped the Yellowstone area. Ennis is included for its renowned fly-fishing experiences on the Madison River.
