The Ennis Area Chamber of Commerce is an organization of business people who endeavor to serve the needs of our community by building a viable economy and promoting our quality of life for the benefit of visitors and residents alike.

Funding
The majority of funding for these activities comes from member dues or advertising. A small amount of additional funding is granted from Gold West Country to pay for the operation of the Visitor’s Information Center.
Organization
The Ennis Chamber is governed by an 11 member elected board serving 3 year terms and representing a variety of local businesses. The Executive board includes a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. The Chamber employs an administrator to coordinate membership, activities and manage the Visitor’s Information Center. The Board sets policy for the organization and divides the responsibilities into committees as follows:
Chamber Committees
• Visitor Center Committee: Oversees the operation of the Visitor’s Information Center including the hiring of the Chamber Administrator.
• Marketing Committee: Coordinates efforts for marketing the Ennis area including website maintenance, tourism brochure, Gold West grants and other advertising/marketing opportunities.
• Activities Committee: Serves as a liaison to the 4th of July Parade Committee. Coordinates support for all Chamber sponsored and supported events.
• Buy Local Campaign Committee: Supports the promotion of local businesses and area grassroots programs.
